I've inadvertently spent many a Paddy's Day in Dublin (thought it's
really a big mess; the parade sucks, nothing in town is open and
Temple Bar is nothing but literally a wall to wall, sidewalk to
sidewalk sea of drunks). But some of the band's been in the Kitchen
for at least two of them that I can remember off hand (Bono & Edge
for both, along with Jim Kerr from Simple Minds on one) - and Bono &
Larry were in the Kitchen the night after the third (the year that
none of them were in there on the actual night of).
Expect to pay a premium to get into the Kitchen on Paddy's (probably
8 pounds instead of 5-6).
I'll be there again this year, by coincidence.
