Hi Wire - especially Mia...

The only official Prop release is Melon. All the other Fruitlegs (and
there are many) are third party, unofficial releases.

You can read about them at http://www.u2-flom.com
... Most of what I know about U2 boots comes from this site.

I borrowed CDR copies of Melon and Kiwi from a friend a few weeks ago.
It's always exciting to hear remixes that I haven't heard yet. Melon is
definitely something you'll want to get.

The unofficial Fruitlegs, like Kiwi, are generally compilations of
material that was only released on promos or B-sides of singles, etc...
since I have most of the Achtung Baby singles, there were only a few
tracks on Kiwi that I hadn't heard yet. But, If you can't find the
singles, then the Fruitlegs (or at least Kiwi) have excellent sound
quality and are likely worth getting.

Melon? Keep in mind that the original Propaganda CD came in a cardboard
case, and any other pressings are bootlegs.

I will stress again, check FLOM before you buy any bootleg. It's way too
easy to get ripped off... but if you find the right boots, they can be
really cool.

Btw I'm still looking for a copy of Melon, or at least a complete set of
scanned artwork for it. Please Email me if you can help.
