Well, if you hear Bono in the early day (pre-1995) you will find a fairly
arrogant person, shooting off at the mouth a lot.

Two points :

1) It is OKAY for Bono to be arrogant. People have to exercise all parts
of their personality if they want to turn their lives into (knowledgeable)
art.

2) When someone produces such things of beauty, arrogance is, to some
extent, justified. Also, we are all arrogant at different times. And also
: that joyous energy of life that comes from playing in front of (and
completely moving) an audience, can be seen as arrogance. But it ain't
necessarily so.

No offense, but it is a not worth the effort to defend every aspect of a
person's personality, even if you love him. No one is perfect. And loving
someone doesn't dispel their faults - it only makes you understand, and
accept, them.

Bono is one of my favorite people. I'm just trying to see it from the
other side. That's what it means to be an artist - to believe in reality,
to try to comprehend it, and to try to figure out why you have the
attitudes towards it that you have.
