The U2 in my life

Greetings my fellow Wirelings,
I haven't posted here for a long time - I haven't had the time or
money. But, since I've had a really great year and a half of U2
experiences, I thought I had better post them and tell you what's
been up.

I live in New Zealand, and was pretty much alone as far as U2 fans
went. I have never seen them live, and don't own any of the older
singles, vids or bootlegs. In fact, I only own 27 U2 CD's. And
most of them are the singles from the last year or so. But, even
with this small amount, I have converted many people.

My stepbrother, an avid Spice Girls and every other girly band fan
listened to Pop Musik once, and bought the LNOE single. He now
wants the Best Of, and the Popmart vid. A cousin has asked for a
copy of my Best Of. My CD collection is currently sitting at around
16, as most of my friends have borrowed my U2 CD's, and my
Popmart vid is with a friend also. Even my grandparents (classical
music fans) don't mind their music. Some of my friends have even
chosen U2 songs as their "theme songs", so to speak. On top of
this (I am a christian) some of my christian friends have even
noticed the high spiritual quality in songs such as SATS, Gone and
Wake Up Dead Man.

And every radio station here is playing U2 at least 5 times a day.
One station has an 80's band thing every night which plays U2,
Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet etc...And in the last two days, on
less than four stations (listening for less than 2 hours, I have heard
Electric Co, WOWY, Mysterious Ways, Sweetest Thing (I don't
know how many times), Who's gonna ride.... and Please (in a
commercial.

Anyway, this post is probably too long, so I'd better finish. Just a
question, though:
Has that "Lean on Me" actually got Bono in it, or is it someone
else? It sure sounds like him.

Love and Lemons,
Fern
