Hello out there in wireland!

Well, I finally decided to subscribe to wire and actually make a post :) I
have been a u2 fan since I saw Bono wave a white flag during the "Sunday
Bloody Sunday" video when I was a little girl way back when. I
unfortunately still, if you could believe this, haven't seen the Irish
boys, in concert, due to unforseen circumstances each time. Hopefully (with
a little luck and more money) I'll be able to next tour.

Anyways, I haven't been to this u2 hate page, but the webmaster of the
page, is entitled to their opinion. Obviously if they care enough to make a
page "hating" a band, they must have at least listened enough to form an
opinion. I happen to be a huge Pink Floyd and NIN fan as well, (old Pink
Floyd circa Roger Waters, not without him) and someone commented about how
this person pointed out that on the page u2 doesn't have as much
creativity. I don't see how you could compare all u2 with Pink Floyd, since
really, there isn't much similarity. I mean, sure perhaps in anti-war, etc
lyric writing. Musically however, Pink Floyd and u2 to me are quite
different. Especially in their guitar styles. And NIN is completely
different than u2 really, but Trent Reznor is a fan of the band. I'm sure
you all know he showed up at the PopMart show in Vegas when it was there
and was impressed.
