some thoughts on the GH & B-sides

Well, it's just over 2 months since I had to run out to HMV to buy the
Greatest Hits and B-sides and now it sits in my CD tower, gathering dust.
When it first came out, I loved the b-sides, but now I find myself listening
more and more to Zooropa and Boy, while the GH hasn't been played in at
least a month.

Now my mom came up to me yesterday and asked what CD that Jesus song was on.
She meant Wake up dead man, but didn't know the title. I told her it was on
Pop and she said that she wanted to go and buy it because she loves that
song. I was shocked; my mom has never been a U2 fan, she loves REM. I
played the song for her about a year ago and just now she realizes she likes
it.

Finally, today was my day off and I spent the mid-morning driving through
Calgary listening to Pop, with the windows down in my car in -10 degrees
celcius weather. There's nothing like listening to Gone when you can see
your breath as you sing along.

Later,
