I had an extra ticket to see the boys in Toronto last October, and took a
non-U2 fan, one who always made fun of my liking for them.

He enjoyed the show. (U2 is still not one of his favorite bands.)

At one point, during the mind-numbingly good version of Where the Streets
Have No Name, I turned to him in awe and said, "I don't know whether to
laugh or cry".

He looked at me for a moment and said, "Me neither".

PS. Vancouver, 1992. 2nd row. "Streets" comes on. They guy beside me
leaps up and down and starts hugging me, shouting with absolute joy, at the
top of hios lungs, over and over, "They're playing Where the Streets Have
No Name, they're playing Where the Streets Have No Name...."
