Hi Wire.

Some people have e-mailed me and asked what I mean tabout the August 7,
1992 show in Hershey, PA when I said that "things had happened at that
show which never happened again." I just thought I would clear that up
for everyone, so to the best of my recollection, here goes. This is not
made up AT ALL.

Among the things that "happened" at that show:

-A shopping cart (onstage) during Trying To Throw Your Arms Around the
World.' A large inflatible banana onstage during the same song as a
prop

-A totally naked woman was filmed writhing onstage (while laying down)
during an incredible version of With Or Without You. She was filmed
live during this song and her body was shown across the entire set of
giant TV screens onstage during it. This footage was later used on the
tour for the same song (sometimes), but it was actually filmed in
Hershey.

-A birthday cake for the Edge and everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to him

-The concert bagan with "Sunday Bloody Sunday" "Pride" and "New Year's
Day" and *then* the ZooTV "machine" started up (as I mentioned before).

-The band completely messed up "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses" and
then Bono and Edge did an acoustic version of it by themselves, meaning
that the song was basically played twice in a row. "Pride" was also
played twice, but the second version was played later in the show.

-A lone firework shot into the night sky from the top of the sound desk
(by the crew, it was timed perfectly) into the night sky during the
close or "With Or Without You."

-Tickets were $15 bucks (mentioned before)

My guess is that a lot of these "surprises" were tested out in Hershey
to se if any/many of them would work on the Outside Broadcast Tour.

It was an awesome night!

-Mike
