Hello Wirelings! I'm new to the list and I found something while perusing
Feb. 99 issue of MAD magazine... there's this article that places Abbott and
Costello's "Who's on First" act in the "MTV videotape library" and here's
the best part....
"Costello: Which song is on that tape, Abbott?
Abbott: I still haven't found what I'm looking for
C: That tape in your hand
A: I still haven't found what I'm looking for
C: That tape there.
A: I still haven't found what I'm looking for
C: Why don'tcha look in your HAND? Okay. Forget about the song. Was that
video made by a group?
A: Of course it was
C: And that group gets royalties from the record company?
A: Every dollar. And why not? The group's entitled to it.
C: So you know what group gets the royalty payments?
A: Yes. U2.
C: I get the royalty payments?
A: Of course not, you're not in the group.
C: I'm not in the group?
A: No.
C: But you know what group gets the payments?
A: Certainly. U2.
C: I'm not in the group but I get payments.
A: You do not!
C: But you know who does.
A: Of course. U2!"
Just thought I'd share....
peace, love, and bono,
Becky
