Random Thoughts...

-Why is it that a lot of people easily take radio DeeJays as holders
of music news and information? I have nothing against them but it
always seems it is the DeeJays who most of you end up quoting. DO
radio stations have prvileged communication with music labels? I
always thought the internet news would come ahead of what the DJs say
- especially considering that DJ's should know music in general so
they have a lot to study - whereas people like Prarit only focus on U2
thus giving them more time to search the net and other official
sources. But it's just a question about these DJs...

-Whatever U2's album will be, it won't be their last because there
will definitely be a post-breaking up album, a tribute album, a
compilation album and a from the vaults album after all is said and
done. I don't think U2 would be a band who would just suddenly
announce their break-up. I think they will do it in style and announce
that it will be their last tour, etc. and then finally say that "This
will be our last concert ever, in Phoenix Park, Dublin crossing the
Millennium from Dec. 31 to Jan 1, 2000." It will be a day long
concert with U2 performing ALL their songs in all their albums. Also
their intermission numbers will be filled with friends who have come
to support their farewell concert such as R.E.M and the remaining
members of INXS. The Police will reunite only for that concert and so
will Irish band Boomtown Rats. A surprise number would be the
remaining Beatles singing with JOhn Lennon in the screen (yup, they
are going to reconstruct their old Popmart Screens into one even
bigger screen and two smaller screens to fill the backs of the
stadium). I am just dreaming here - this is pure fiction...

Cheers,

J
