About language and u2 feelings

First, I must explain someone about "BOsnian"language. You see, we lived
in Yugoslavia for 40 years and because of the polititical atmospfere we
(Croatians and
Serbians) were "the same". Also the language. BUt, really, for years we
had different cultures and also the languages.
You know, now is almost dangerous to speek in serbian
language in Croatia. And there are many rock groups in Yogoslavia that we
loved in 80" and now you cant here them on the radio.Or anywhere.
So, i must say its so stupid, we were so conected in 80, and now there is
so much hate and prejudices-
I am still listening rock groups from Serbia like many young people here
in Zagreb,
and i cant believe the news today.
I mean, the art is the art, and one of that groups called EKV is the best!
But still, i feel much closer to u2 like-----
i was growing up in Dublin with them--
But , I must say.... why they are never came here in Zagreb?
We need some support too. I will folow where ever they are but...
its like BOno is only intersted for Bosnia and
he even created some image of that. And for us... u2 dont care.
Dont get me wrong, I am so in love with u2 that i dont mind if i have to
travel to see them, but im interested what are the bloody reasons -
Its like... we dont exist. But really, we are good fans!For example , u2
are closer to me more then any other group in my
country. Its like they are essence of me- i cant believe that they sing
about my feelings , my atmosphere, my twillight.
I am afraid , there is also Joy Division side of me, but....
And today is a day without me.... one of this days-
When i need u2 the most. Its like..that beautiful song of MIsssion...
like they are tower of strength...
I am looking for u2 atmosphere everywhere , you know that feeling when
you see some "u2 place".
ANd in Zagreb they are closing u2 places all the time. The only
alternative disco club we had is closed- It was callled "Apple". In our
University we had a club callled "A HOle" .E, that was something you could
call u2 place.We had punk and alternative concerts there and some cultural
staff and now..... because we invited some other nations to play
..and we were listening serbian groups for example---now is closed-
And "APple" was like home to me---and the owner of that club looks like
Dorian GRay---believe me. I miss his beauty the most.
So, i was pretty down when i first came to Wire.
But you gave me some spirit and u2 always gave me almost everything i
need.
You know... SOmetimes i would like to believe in a way Bono,
Larry and Edge believe ,, and really I DO believe when I am listening
October ( the strongest record I"ve ever heard ) but there is a world
outside that is not so warm. Bono said that they callled the record
"October" because
of the cold atmosphere in the world. And that was in beautiful 80" !
Now its like.... in my town you cant even talk to people , because.. they
are so cooool....... I am closer to Morrisey in some things
(love life for exaple, but I am always trying to find some u2 way of
life-
I am trying to be positive as posssible-
But i also need some support like..... BOno had from Ali----
I think he is really lucky to find her in such an early age
