I saw ENTROPY

I sent the following post two weeks ago, but I don't think it made it, so
here it is again. If it already appeared, sorry, if not, enjoy...

I attended a screening of ENTROPY here in LA Tuesday night. It's pretty
good. There's some cool U2 stuff in the film. Both Bono and Larry have
speaking roles although Larry is limited to about three words. Of course,
they're playing themselves. For those of you who don't know, the film is a
lose autobiography of Phil Joanou, the director of RATTLE AND HUM. In the
film Stephen Dorff plays a young director making his first feature film.
Just as his life falls apart, U2 calls him and asks him to come film their
concert. CUT TO: the POPMART tour in full swing during MOFO. It's pretty
awesome. Also, throughout the film, Bono plays a mentor to Stephen's
character, Jake. I won't give away any more plot info. The film itself is a
love story and to be honest, other than the U2 bits, it's a little boring.
However, if you enjoyed the POPMART tour and you're a fan, be sure to see
this one when it comes out. Unfortunately, I have no idea when it's going to
be released. The print we saw was a rough cut, so it's not quite finished
yet...Later.
