A Public Notice of Thanks to Many Wirelings:

Thank you's are in order to so many of you whom I've had the real pleasure
to meet over the last couple of years. I'm not too cynical to believe that
friendships can't be made without ever having a 'face-to-face.' Special
nods go to:

Teresa in Seattle: who made me my very own B-sides tape, months before
the official one was released, and who has shared with me more than I can
count, including mantras, copies of U2-on-the-cover Rolling Stones, advice,
loads of tapes, and numerous 'personal jinx'-es and 'small world'
occurrences :-D

Matt (who *is* the man!): for allowing me to be a part of his wonderful
site; it's given me a reason to dig through the archives (as if I needed an
excuse); and for sharing the music of Something Happens (the source of the
'stuck together with God's glue' lyric)

RD at Ultrawired!: for sharing so many of his tapes, both audio and
video, including such gems as the 83 RockPalast show (with Adam singing
back-up!), MTV's embarrassing contest show for Pop, the Salome tapes and
more; and for his shared love of Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah

John Beisty, whose email address I lost when I moved to my new job:
thanks so much for the Mountains and Deserts tape. You're right, it's not
the 'Enniskillen bombing' version of SBS, but it's still a great boot.
(BTW, does anyone have a copy of that night's show, in Denver at McNichols
Arena, I believe? I'd love to have a tape copy. . . )

Zowie: thanks again for the cd copy of both the Mother's Day Interview
and the BBC Christmas Eve interviews with Bono (did you enjoy the 'knitted
vagina' interview in return?)

Paul down under: thanks for both the Brisbane PopMart tape and the
Zoovenirs; who knew U2 covers could be so hilarious?

Ms. Ali at Bono's CyberCatHouse (featuring the photogenic felines Bono
and Ms. Ali): for the joy of receiving mail from 'Bono' and for the great
wallpaper shot of Bono in Groucho Marx glasses

Zooromance, a Wireling from my very own town: thanks for the very best
tape of the one PopMart show I was lucky enough to see (DC on Memorial Day
- AKA 'the watery screen' gig, AKA 'the boom-cha cannon' show). And thanks
for the unexpected addition of the New Year's Eve 89/90 bits too!

To the unknown site masters from whose pages I've downloaded pictures
for my slideshow screensaver: thank you thank you thank you! Because of
you, I've got enough visuals to keep my mind off my job whenever my
screensaver pops on . . .

And for those with whom I've shared on again/off again email
commentaries, about music, beauty, poetry, spirituality, community and oh
yes, U2: thanks. It's a small word, but it's the right one.

   Slainte'
