Arrrrrghhhhh....coming out of lurkdom, and feeling a bit grumpier than
usual! >:\

Time to catch up on a few digests that have backlogged:

Might as well start with this one:

About this shoot for "Gazillion Dollar Hotel" (allowing for inflation):
Don't get too excited, they may only be doing exterior shots. So there's
no _guarantee_ that Bono will be there. Oh, and film shoots can be
v-e-r-y boring to watch. It all looks a lot more interesting once it's
been edited together. ;-)

Curious fans in the LA area might want to spy a bit, or check out what's
listed about in in Daily Variety.

Then there was THIS one:

*groan*

Somewhere deep in my brain, a few cells dimly remember discussing this
very bit of jewelry during the '87 tour. It is indeed a cross, an
Ethiopian cross that Bono picked up and/or was given when he and Ali did
their relief work stint in Ethiopia, post-Live Aid. It's not an inverted
or "Satanic" cross.

And I really can't believe that so much bandwidth got tied up discussing
this!

Thanks to Robbie et al for a bit of common sense in all this silly "U2:
Spawn of Satan" thread!

Slan,
