One of my questions re the Popmart tours is why didn't they "mix it up a
bit".
(someone once said that "touring can get so boring, so conservative, so
predictable" - and "when you are on the road for so long you feel like
mixing it up a bit")

Others have argued that it ws too hard with the screen - surely they could
have turned the screen off for 1 or 2 songs, maybe just use the screen for
some close ups.

Take a leaf of of Midnight Oils book. On their last tour they played a
core set with all the hits, then a few times during the show they would
spin a big wheel of fortune thing with 60 of their older more obsquere
songs on it, and just play what ever came up. It sound a bit tackey - but
at least you feel their is some chance of your favourite obscure song
coming up.

ISHFWILF, surely they could skip it occasionally. They can't use it as the
big thank-you song anymore. It was great in Popmart, but maybe it should
be retired before it wears out its welcome. Correct me if I am wrong, but
didn't it get dropped from the zoo tv set for a while.

WOWY - It was just about the highlight of JT/Lovetown and ZooTv. However
in popmart it was almost a chance for the crowd to catch their breath,
while bono went thru the motions.

ONE - That is a greatest hits that will pass the test of time. Other of
the "slow songs" come and go quickly, ie October, Running to Stand Still,
Stay and inevitably SATS are all 1 tour wonders (or close enough to it).
One won't fade away in the same way.

Anyone else see any of the "hits" that will fade away. Remember about 8
songs from the Popmart set list will have to go, just to make room any new
material.

So before you say - you can't drop XXXX from the set list - you have to
name at least 8 other songs to be dropped.
