We found the shoot pretty easily, so we parked and talked to some guy
who was like, "...who's Bono?" So we found another crew guy and I
asked, "Do you know if *Bono's* here, by any chance???" He saw my U2
shirt, laughed and said, "Actually some girls were here this morning
looking for him too, but...he's not on location, I'm sorry." :(
Aaaawww. So we went searching for the building in the "Streets" video
instead. I *think* I found it, on the corner of 7th and Main, right?
However....this building had a big ol' "dentist" sign at the top. I
took a picture, but...anyone know if that was it? All the other
buildings were too tall or too short, so I figured that *had* to be it.
It *totally* looked like it. Hmmm...still unsure... Then, as we left
scummy downtown to go shopping at the Beverly Center, "I Still Haven't
Found What I'm Looking For" came on the radio! That was too damn cool.
While we were at the mall, I was SO proud of myself. I didn't buy
anything! Wow- that's really rare. Then we went to eat at the Hard
Rock (got groovy pictures of Achtung Baby stuff and a U2 Unforgettable
Fire World Peace Flag).
Next we headed up to Hollywood Blvd. The money I was so proud about not
spending at the mall, I ended up blowing...of course...on U2 stuff (lol-
why do I always do this?! I should be *saving* my money- being a
responsible young woman. I can't afford this crap. But...I can't help
myself- it's just so much fun!). Well, guess what I got! More of those
"I love U2" souvenier license plates (which I think I'm gonna sell on
ebay, by the way ;), a U2 *patch* (been searchin' for one of those for
so long), and a Zooropa T-shirt!!!! It's kinda too big for me, but it
was the last one, so I took it. It's BITCHIN'- unlike any U2 shirt that
I own. It's all bright- rainbow swirly colors on the front. The guys
are on the front too: Edge, in particular, is looking *quite* excited;
Bono's lookin' sexy, sexy, SEXY--- but what's new?; Adam's lookin'
gooood and Larry's lookin' bored. The back has a big ol' star, with all
these concert dates and the top says ZOOROPA '93. Oh man, I just *love*
it! :) My favorite shirt at the moment- I'm wearin' it tomorrow.
One more thing- this store where I found the U2 patch had a couple cool
stickers on their doors. One said "ZOO TV" and the other said "U2
Achtung Baby." Cool!!! I was too shy to ask, so my friend asked for me
if we could have the Zoo TV sticker. The guy said, "Sure, take it." :)
Right on! So we peeled that baby off and it's now sittin' in my room,
waiting for a new home. Hmmm...where shall I put it?? And since the
guy was pretty nice, I asked about the Achtung Baby sticker and he said,
"Go ahead." Woo hoo! :) We tried and tried....but it was so stuck on
there, we couldn't get it off. :( Whatta bummer. Oh well... At least
I got the Zoo one.
Oh, and then when we were leavin', cruisin' down Sunset Blvd., "I Still
Haven't Found What I'm Lookin' For" came on once again. How great! And
pullin' into my driveway tonight, "With or Without You" was on the
radio. :)
Anyway, just wanted to share all that good stuff with you...

P.S. Do any of you guys ever drive by that Irish Whisky Pub on Sunset
called DUBLIN'S and just feel the need to honk and roll down your window
and let out a big ol' "WOOO HOOOOOO!"? I swear, I can't help it. Every
time, man... It's like it's just *calling* my name. Too bad I'm not
21.......yet....
