U2 is mentioned in the latest issue of rolling stone mag (the one
w/lauryn hill on the cover). in the recordings section, a paragraph
about 'sweetest thing' is under - RSPicks, the best of recent months.

U2
"Sweetest Thing"
Island
The Bono Bunch didn't release this agonized love ditty as an A side in
the Eighties, perhaps because it wasn't about the meaning of life.
But the lilting piano and cooing vocals say more about the meaning of
life than "Desire" ever did. Some friendly advice: Forget irony, lads
- solemnity is your bread, and romance is your butter.

in the same issue Bono is mentioned very briefly in the lauryn hill
interview:

"....Lauryn says, "Bono said my album is one of the most important of
the year." She is incredulous, but calm and respectful. No one else in
the car is surprised. "He wants me to do Lalibala, Ethiopia on the eve
of the new century."...."

happy reading,

ana
