Wirelings, American branch only (no offense, just a tv question)
In the recent showing of Steven King's The Stand on tv, at the very
beginning of the 3rd episode, there is a U2 reference that I just caught
the end of. . . Frannie (Molly Ringwald) is talking to Stu (Gary Sinise)
and all I heard was her say was 'U2' and then the camera panned to Stu.
Since I was still getting the popcorn out of the microwave, I missed the
start of that exchange. What was she saying? Did anyone catch it? So far,
I've heard from 3 other fans who *missed* it like me - who caught it? and
don't suggest I look in the book - he wrote it in the 80's but his musical
references were much earlier. When he wrote the screenplay, he updated it.
. .
     anyone? (Bueller? Bueller?)
thanks for the trivia - we do what we can
