it is almost a year ago since I joined my son Wulfer in going to the
Popmart concert in Paris (we live in Holland). It was my first U2-concert,
so my first real meeting with the music of U2. I wrote earlier how I felt
during the concert and that after the concert I started to borrow his cd's
almost every day and even asked him for the address of Wire.
Since that time I have listened to many U2-cd's and tapes.
All the way back from Pop to their first cd and back and....
I do not have a favourite album or cd or tape I just love the whole of U2
music (it is great that there is so much). It is the same with the
band I love U2 for being U2 as a whole (unity). I love Bono's voice,
Edge's guitar, Larry's drums and Adam's bass.
After a year I still discover "new" songs or "new sounds", I mean I found
out only this week that I am thrilled by the piano in New Year's Day.
Some weeks ago a relative had taped the concert in Mexico on video (a
pity it is only 3/4 of the concert). Seeing this video reminds me of the
concert I joined and the special feeling I got during the concert. U2 still
makes my flesh creep!
