Dear Friends,

About a month ago, my friends and I drove from the SF Bay Area to
Seattle to see the Bumbershoot festival. More specifically, we went
to see my favorite band to emerge in the 1990's, 3EB. After 12 hours
of driving, and two days of festival, we got to see 3EB.

During the concert, 3EB covered "I Will Follow". Stephan Jenkins
(lead singer), said, of the song, "This is the first song Kevin
(Cadogen, the lead guitarist) learned to play on guitar...And the
first one I learned to masturbate to..." Don't even ask what the hell
the last part meant, but I thought it was awesome to hear a favorite
band of mine play a song by my favorite band, the ever-awesome U2!

Most of you probably don't care, but I promised myself that I would
send this story to WIRE. By the way, I am going to see 3EB again in
Berkeley, October 9th. The reason I love them so much is that their
lyrics and live show are near that of U2--I said "near that", please
don't flame me, no one will ever be as awesome as U2.

Your eyes make a circle,

Spencer

"You can't even remember what I'm trying to forget..."

P.S. I hope my sig shows that my favorite Zooropa song is "Dirty
Day", okay I lied, I love 'em all, but that is one of my favorite
lines of poetry (Bono's a poet damnit, no matter what you say Mrs.
Johnson) of all time.
