Hello Kiddies. I'm supposed to be sleeping now but I just got home from
the 3eb concert and I'm a bit hyper. I have been reading a lot on wire
about 3eb playing I Will Follow so I went to the concert with great
anticipation for this song (is it wrong to go to a concert just because
you want to hear the band cover a U2 song?). After the first encore I
turned to my friend and sadly stated that they played no U2. Just as I
was whining about it the guitarist came on and said "here's a song the
edge taught me" and he started that amazing guitar that only the edge
could have written. I was screaming (and I mean screaming) like a mad
woman. All of the 3eb fans around me were throwing mean looks in my
direction but I couldn't help it! I must say that I Will Follow was the
high point of the concert. Not that 3eb didn't put on a great concert
but I Will Follow really got the crowd jumping. before that we were all
sort of swaying and moving to the music but I Will Follow got us all
worked up and the whole place was hopping! Anyway, it sounded like
tonight was the last concert of 3eb's current tour so I guess if you
haven't heard them cover the song it's too late. Here's a suggestion
for all you fans who may be feeling bad about this. Throw in the U2
version (on bootleg or cd) and listen to that. It by far exceeds 3eb's
version anyway!
As far as random thoughts, I downloaded the real video of the sweetest
thing (cause I don't have mtv or vh1) and I LOVE THAT VIDEO. it is very
cute. It makes me say "ooo, that's just the sweetest thing" so thanks
to whoever it was who put this online for poor people like me to
retrieve!
Another random thought for you is that I must beg forgiveness from a
few of you wirelings who I have talked to in the last little while.
About a month ago I posted a bit about the Santiago Popmart video and
said I would do what I could to get anyone copies. Well I'm very sorry
but it looks like I'm not gonna be able to hook you up. I was gonna buy
a vcr to record these things with but my car just broke and all sorts of
other expenses have suddenly hit me. If you are angry with me I
understand but I hope you are not! Maybe in the future things will
change and I will be able to make copies, just not right now.
