U2 - Donating Tracks To Album

Ash, U2 and Sinead O'Connor are among the artists donating tracks to a
compilation album in aid of an appeal fund set up to help the victims of the
Omagh bomb. Ash's contribution will be the track I'm Gonna Fall, from their
new album, Nu-Clear Sounds.

Divine Comedy are also on the CD, with a track called 'Sunrise', and U2 are
donating 'Please'. A number of the songs will be especially recorded for the
album, the Corrs are also on there, and organisers have confirmed they're in
talks with Boyzone as well. A spokesperson for Ash says the band are very
grateful for the opportunity to help the families affected by the bombing. The
band say the track I'm Gonna Fall seemed appropriate because it's a song
about hope.

The finished album is scheduled for a November release, and looks set to
become one of the biggest sellers for Christmas.
