Things that suck about the greatest hits

Okay so I haven't posted in a while and I'm not usually the bitter twisted
type BUT:

1) Edited songs bite. New Year's Day loses a lot from its edit as does
WTSHNN. Bad is a little better but not much.

2) The double disk is a bitter reminder of how much better the original
Sweetest Thing is than the new one - more soul, more character, better
vocals etc.

3) The vocals on Trash, Trampoline and the Party Girl sound like me singing
along to the version on UABRS and that is a very scary concept ;)

4) The type of clear plastic double case that they used falls apart within a
matter of weeks. (Any Crowded House fans drag out your Recurring Dream
double disc and see what I mean)

5) The Canadian release of Popmart Mexico is delayed two weeks - I know this
has nothing to do with the greatest hits but I needed to vent my frustration!

I suppose I should have something good to say so here are some things that
DON'T suck:

1) Digital remastering rocks - especially for those B-sides that many of us
only have bootleg copies of.

2) I had forgotten what a great song October is

3) Bono in white check pants - very amusing

Comments always welcome,
David
