Best Of Sales in NYC

Hello,

First off, I love the Best Of CD and the B-Sides, with my only
complaint being the seemingly uneeded edits of "New Year's Day" and "Where
the Streets Have No Name". Also, I have been paying close attention to
how the album is selling, as we would all love to see it be a huge hit.

I lined up to buy it at midnight at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square,
and was surprised to learn that there were more people in line to buy U2
than Alanis! In fact, an employee I spoke to there said that he expected
the Best Of Cd to out-sell Alanis for the first week.

Calls to other NYC record stores (Tower, HMV, etc) also revealed that the
U2 album was selling very well, and was either tied or close behind
Alanis. This would seem to be great news!

It's excellent that U2 has been selling so well in Canada, but does anyone
else have any info on US sales?

Jon
