Hi all U2 lovers!!!
Im new to the list, an as i check it i realize how little i know about
them and how much I love them.
I have never been to a U2 concert (the have never been to my country
and i dont have money to pay a plain ticket and go to see them)So
lucky all you who have seen them.
Well, getting to the point here... about the topic U2 in class, i
think, you Sheri should make your teacher listen to songs like I WILL
FOLLOW or BAD the seem really deep to me, well, all U2 song are WAY
TOO DEEP, they are poets!!! But songs like those reflect with simple
words our most inner feelings (another one could be IN GODS COUNTY)
and that`s why I LOVE THEM.
I would like to know more about your teacher, see, im studying History
of Art, and im thinking about dedicating my whole life to study
contemporary music as a way of artistic expression.
I have noticed how U2 language (specially since Achtung Baby) is being
influenced more and more by art subjects (for me ZOOTV is living art
performed for millions of people, is the culte to the image started by
the whole media and taken into art by them, ARENT THEY SMART???)
Well, i can use any information that anyone in the list can reply to
me, cos im really thinking about making a research on U2 philosophy
and their changes.
Nothing left to say by now.
See you soon!!!
Nivaria
