i'd like to thank heidi dutton for finding it in her heart
to raise money for amnesty international on WIRE--as well
as other u2 mailing lists--again this year. you are GOOD
to do this, heidi, and i thank you for all your hard work.

for those of you who may be new to this list:
heidi started as our "official treasurer" (though don't tell
her that 'cuz she'll deny the title) by collecting donations
for a new disk drive (am i getting the terminology right?)
for WIRE so that (holy) joel was able to give us more speed
(he's our supplier, man) and more options. she did this
back in....'95?....maybe '96....i'm sending her money next
paycheck i get.
