The Omagh bombing/americans

Hey WIRE,

I'm feeling extremely shocked right now, I still can't get over the fact
that 28 people are dead in Omagh....just miles from where I live. I
think
every one here is really shocked and sad and most of all probably angry.
I'm angry. I'm so angry. 9 children are dead, kids shopping for school
clothes,
for jeans, for contact lenses.... I can't believe it. After 30 years
this is were
we still are. We thought everything was slowly getting better, someday
we
might finally get peace.... christ....

I know that WIRE may not be the place for this and if anyone has a
problem with it please don't hesitate to say so. But quite frankly I
don't know what to do. I feel so helpless, probably like the rest of
N.Ireland. Today I was at a short rally in the center of Derry, there
was a minutes silence, tomorrow I'm going to the Guildhall to sign
the book of condolences. Then I don't know what I'm going to do,
I might go to Omagh, lay some flowers..anything....

I can't believe the news today,
I can't close my eyes and make it go away,
How long...how long must we sing this song???................

As for Americans understanding the Irish.....I doubt it. Americans see
what they want to see, the brave "reveloutionaries" fighting for the
freedom of Ireland..complete bollocks. What we have are bloody
murderers killing our own people for a cause that they can never
achieve, in other words.... a waste. It's all bullshit, and americans
should understand that most of all.

Aoife
