Did I get your name right?:) I'm not in any way distressed...it just
dawned on me that I had explained my problem to the other lists I
subscribe to but for some reason I never did on Wire...so that seemed
like as good a time as any to bring it up...

it really doesn't make a whole lot of difference who signed R.E.M.
when...it's just something that was completely new to me....you ask your
Polygram person for some dates... and since I am a member in good
standing of the R.E.M fan club I'll ask David the director...they are
usually pretty good about answering questions about the band if it
concerns the fans...and it's not personal...(they'll explain why they're
not touring next year in detail...but they won't tell you what busted up
Peter Buck's first marriage :) This is very intriguing though....I
might not know as much as I thought I did....
