HEY WIRE!

I got back from the Tori Amos concert with no U2 story. :( I thought
fer sure I'd come back with *something*, considering every concert I go
to, I have a little to tell. Hmmm. Oh well.

Actually, there's *one* thing that was just AWESOME and sorta related to
U2, well......kinda. The opening band, The Devlins. They were playing
when we walked in, and it sounded absolutely beautiful. They're 3 guys
(2 of them, the Devlin brothers), and their music was incredible. Very
peaceful and just *awesome*. Anyway, they finished a song soon after we
got there, and began to talk...... Would you believe it?!? THEY'RE
IRISH!!! :) Everytime the lead singer would say anything, I'd just
totally light up, listenin' to that lovely accent, and say to no one
inparticular, "How cool." (My friends think I'm such a nerd!) I kept
wonderin' if these guys know Bono, Edge, Adam or Larry..... Maybe they
grew up with their music and saw them perform at the little places, when
U2 was still a baby band. I wonder if U2 has inspired them..... I bet
they have, because the lead singer of the Devlins was sayin' how proud
they are to be Irish, so I betcha they're inspired and *really* proud of
U2. I don't know, but that'd be soooooooo cool. I think the Devlins
would be great as an opening act at a U2 concert. They're kinda mellow,
so maybe they wouldn't be my top choice, but I really enjoyed `em the
other night. And it was such a pleasant surprise! I needed a fix,
`cause I was goin' down, baby. It's been tooooooo long since I heard an
Irish man singin' live in concert, so this was just *lovely*!

See y'all!

Nikki

Your love was a light bulb hangin' over my bed!
*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
BABY, BABY, BABY! Light my way!
