Further on this notion that J presents...I too think that it would be
too early to do a best of at the end of the 90s. But that doesn't rule
out the possibility of a release in some shape or form. They are
contracted to three "best of" style recordings right? We have the
first...but the next could possibly be some form of live recordings, or
a remix album, or something like that...I think we are more likely to
see this sort of release rather than a 1990-00 best of. (Maybe we'll
even get a b-sides compilation again...there are still lots of tracks
out there if you work your way into the 90s!)

The material from the 90s is just too new still. Achtung would fit well
on some sort of best hits album now its been long enough, but look at
Zooropa...Even though it was my favorite album, it seems to have
disappeared from U2's minds when the PopMart rolled out...would they
really look to it for greatest hits when it already has been rolled
under a rug. Pop is still fresh, only a few years old by the time this
collaboration would be out, and as for anything from a new release, it
would just be too early. Passengers could be used for Miss Sarajevo,
but not much else...

So if we do see the second in a string of best ofs next year, maybe we
should be discussing what it might be...live, remixes (Melon was fan
club only remember!) or perhaps another b-sides disc with the sucess and
popularity of this one! I'm sure a best of 1990-00 is coming, but not
until 2000 is gone, and gone for a bit.

That's just my opinion though.
