My U2 choices for when I die

Whoa- this is really trippy. Just last weekend, my friend and I were
sittin' around with nothin' to do, so...we decided to head on down to
the beach and send out a message in a bottle! Pretty cool, huh! But
what's so odd is that when we were writin' a bunch of stuff on this
paper, my friend said, "Write the 3 songs you want played at your
funeral." Hmmm, interesting. I got to thinkin' that I definitely
wouldn't want any slow, kinda sad songs played. I know many of those
can be very touching, and -don't get me wrong- I'd love to have "One"
played....but...instead of everyone bein' all weepy and mourning the
loss of me, havin' a sad sad time, I'd much rather have people havin'
fun and gettin' down and gettin' all crazy at my funeral! :) I want it
to be a party! Like, "WOO HOO! Let's celebrate the life of Nikki!
She's gone home to Heaven and to her God and Jesus Christ! Right on,
baby, yeeeeah!" Instead of black, I want everyone to wear white. And I
want my disco ball goin' during the whole service! Right now, my
grandma, who I'm very close with, is getting closer and closer to dying.
She's fadin' fast, due to breast cancer :( and I know that when *she*
passes on, I want it to be a *happy* service that we have...to celebrate
the woman she was and will always remain so in our memories. :)

SO...with aaaaall that in mind, I put "Pride" down on my paper that I
sent out to sea. It's a song full of *passion* and I've always found it
very uplifting. (I also put on that paper "Life Goes On" by the Beatles
and "Rock Lobster" by the B-52s.) Man, don't get me started on those 2!
I'M TYPING AND I CAN'T SHUT UP!!! Geez, sorry people. ;) Anyway, I'd
also love for "A Sort of Homecoming" to be played. Or "Where the
Streets Have No Name." Wow, those songs are incredible. And come to
think of it...as much as I dislike terribly sad, mouring funerals (what
one isn't?! But...you know what I mean), there's always been a special
place in my heart for MLK. I've always thought about singin' that at my
grandma's. Hmmm.... *But* then everyone would be bawlin' their poor
eyes out as I sang, "Sleeeeeeep. Sleep toniiiiiight." I dunno. Maybe
I'll just have `em play "Rejoice!" YEAH! Talk about a kick ass,
uplifting song! Or what about "Ultraviolet!" Yeeeeah baby!!!

Anyway y'all, I've rambled looooooong enough. See ya! :)

-Nikki-

Your love was a light bulb hangin' over my bed!
*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
BABY, BABY, BABY! Light my way!
