Thank you for remembering Lennon! I was thinking about him today at
work. I was 17 and was driving home from a friend's house when I heard
the news on the radio. I was absolutely devastated and I really don't
know how I made it home - the tears made it so hard to see...

The next day my best friend and I left school early to go downtown and
see some bands play a memorial. Also, there guys we went to school with
had gotten permisson to lower the flag out front to half mast and that
meant so much to us.

I've heard from people older than I am that they remember exactly where
they were when they heard that John F. Kennedy was killed. For my
generation, I think Lennon's death was the horror that permanently
engraved itself in our memories.
