Re: Bono's opinions (relatively long post)

I must agree with Matt McGee for saying this was one of the most eloquent posts and of course, for Matt Crawford for writing this.

Bono is a human being. He makes mistakes. Not everything he says or agrees is right. Bono is my favorite U2 member, but when I saw he had contributed to the Rolling Stone article on Clinton, I skipped over it.

I may speak for myself here and I don't mean any disrespect to my neighbors to the south, but I don't care if Clinton gets thrown out of office. And I have no opinion on the subject because I am a Canadian and American political affairs are of no interest to me. I take an interest in the bombings of Iraq brought on by America & Britain, but that is only because it affects the whole world and our Prime Minister commented on how inappropriate it was, and he had no choice but to support the American and Britain.

There is a lot of stuff of on Wire that is off topic and I read the posts anyways, but the Clinton thing is totally off topic. U2 met him probably 6 times and that was it. It's just like when someone posted about the supposed Euro and someone flipped out about that. That interests me more than Clinton. I think more than 3 posts on an unrelated subject is enough, but that's only my opinion. Any problems with this post, talk to me, and don't post it on the list to add even more off topic stuff.
