U2: A YEAR IN POP VIDEO

Greetings PopMartians:
I have a (one hour) broadcast put out by ABC last year, entitled
U2: A Year In Pop. It is in very good condition. I am interested in making
a trade with someone for any U2 tapes, Cd-r's or original videos. Below is
a discription of the video that I have.
It is a lively and dynamic broadcast at Las Vegas before the
opening of PopMart. Energenitacally dictated, the show gives a brief
interlude of U2's early history and their road to success. More detail is
spent on chatting about ZooTV and the question is posed as PopMart and
ZooTV in a boxing ring: which one will win? As Bono says on the tape:
"This show (PopMart) is gonna walk all over ZooTV. It doesn't look like
many people are taking to challange ZooTV. Looks like we're going up
against ourselves."
Complete with personal interviews with all the bandmates and
excitingly mixed footage of video and tour shots, this show offers a
different perspective on a few issues that I've never heard before. Even
Paul McGuiness is intereviewed, as well as Roy Litchenson. Mission
Impossible and also Passangers is discussed. Bono suggests that a good
reason to do Passangers was to "get Larry to move out of the left hand side
of his brain. Actually, Larry didn't like it because we hardly let him play
the drums." The two canter and it is very good natured and gives you an
inside on their jokes and frienship.
It ends with explaining more detail about Pop's late release as
well as a reading of "Miami" by Allen Ginsberg. The bandmates give their
reasons why Pop was named Pop and again share their laughter with the
viewer. They even discuss what makes their "image" (do they have one?!)
Overall, it is a solid broadcasting lasting an hour (without the
commercials) and a complementary addition to any collection. Again, I am
willing to make copies and trade for whatever you deem worthy.
