Oh Glorious God of Coincidence!
So, I moved back home two weeks ago, and I have officialy almost driven
my family mad with all the U2 music and info I have collected in the
past year. So, last night at the dinner table things fell apart. They
BANNED me from doing anything U2 related for two days. I thought this
was unfair, but I was outnumbered. Not TEN minutes later, MOFO came on
during a video montage on the A Channel (out of Edmonton )and it played
for almost a whole minute!! (I giggled like an evil troll the whole
time) THEN, my uncle dropped by, with a birthday present for my Dad. It
turned out to be a Robbie Robertson album, ("CD, you sound like Dad")and
what do you know, U2 had contributed to TWO songs. Again, giggling was a
factor. He ALSO got a Frank Sinatra book, with a giant picture of "the
chairman of the bad" and Bono. Unfortunatly, the author TOTALLY dissed
the speech, calling Bono's "rambling" speech "off-the-mark". Rrrrr. Darn
you Lew Irwin! Anyways, TODAY Dad and I sat down for our nightly
Jeopardy battle, and I KICKED BUTT!!! Hahahaha. I actualy gave a
Homer-esque "wohoo!" when I saw the categories. And right before the
Oilers game, ITV (also out of Edmonton) had the guitar riff from
Ultraviolet playing over and over and over...
Also, is May tenth Bono's B-Day? Because I noticed that acording to the
Simpsons it is also 'whacking day', originaly invented as an excuse to
beat up the Irish.hehehe!
"'tis true, but t'was all in good fun"
Anyways, thanks for listening!
Vanessa.
