G'Day Wire!
Just a few things i wanted to mention...
Bono on IGWSHA - Bono said something like "the guy's beating up his
girlfriend about her faith" - i always took this to mean he was verbally
'beating her up', argueing with her rather than physically beating her up,
because there's no real image of violence in the song, just a kind of
cynicism and hopelessness.
Aaahhh, rumours of a new album...shall we be realistic? i've heard Bono
say in interviews that it takes about a year to make a U2 album, about a
month per song. if we use the pattern that the band has established in the
past, we can guess that the new album will be out about this time next year
at the earliest, which will lead quite nicely into a yr 2000 tour.
however, we can't really discount the news that the band is 'on fire'
(AAARRRGHH NO!!!!!! CALL THE FIRE BRIGADE sorry, i'll try to keep myself
under control) and are working in the studio every chance they get. this
may mean that the album will be out sooner, but i wouldn't bet on it.
sigh.

cheers!
