Erm -- down boy. Have nice cup of tea or something. I'm sure you love &
worship U2, & Mr Harrison's comments were a tad irritating (though he
seemed, if I remember the interview correctly, to have thrown U2 in
there with the Spice Girls and a couple of other people merely because
they were in the news at the time and thus he had heard of them, but
otherwise I don't think he is all that knowledgeable about modern rock,
like anything after 1969), but Bono's giving him the finger was
certainly a rather immature act from a man in his mid-thirties who is
the father of two. I sure would have loved to be a fly on the wall* in
the Hewson family domicile after the concert that night. I would have
loved to see his wife's face.... <eg>

BTW, George Harrison has been under treatment for throat cancer, so far
successfully (from the latest report I read); he found a lump on his
throat, apparently while gardening. (No, I can't figure that one out
either; it was in the interview.)

So you see, I doubt Mr Harrison gives much thought to U2 these days, if
he ever did.

*gratuitous U2 reference

PS: My traditional dig at the gay-disapproving Christians on the list:
sure the bible has passages in it saying "if a man lay with another man
like a woman, then it is an abomination" (I paraphrase), but why are we
to take that passage to mean homosexuality is what is being disapproved
of? Maybe it is only saying men shouldn't lie with other men while
_dressed up_ as women. You know how dangerous those spike heels are.
